A proposed decarbonisation roadmap for the digital sector
[Systnaps](/) took part, within Numeum, in the working groups that drafted a “Proposed decarbonisation roadmap” for the French digital sector.
The roadmap gathers proposed actions to decarbonise the digital sector, reflecting the diversity of viewpoints among the stakeholders consulted. The aim of the consultation is not to reach consensus but to identify every available decarbonisation lever. Decision-makers can then select, from among those levers, the measures best suited to the targets set. Article 301 of the French law of 22 August 2021, known as the “Climate and Resilience Act”, provides that for every sector with high greenhouse gas emissions, a roadmap is drawn up jointly by the representatives of the economic sector, the government and local authority representatives for the areas in which they hold competence.
