Systnaps — Dassault Systèmes feedback: tool-supported GDPR compliance of a worldwide HR database
A long-standing Systnaps partner since 2007, the Dassault Systèmes group — a global software leader — approached the Systnaps team in late 2016 for support in bringing a DLM (Data Lifecycle Management) project into GDPR compliance for a worldwide human resources application instance, ahead of the regulation taking effect on 25 May 2018.
The project's objectives were to:
- regain control of the data model and version it at every archiving campaign;
- comply with the laws and regulations on personal data protection (CNIL, GDPR…);
- improve the performance of the HR information system;
- maintain a good level of service quality;
- respond to data subject rights requests;
- reduce the carbon footprint by rationalising data management through recurring archiving and purge campaigns.
